Developmental - our choosing time

At the end of the week,  we have Choosing Time.  As you can see, this is lots of fun.  In our classroom, we have toys and craft materials to keep us busy.  We love playing with our friends.

Jolly Phonics

Every morning we join together for Jolly Phonics.  We sing our songs and use our actions for each letter sound.  We are all so clever and have now learnt all the alphabet.  If you want to show your Mums and Dads what we do in Jolly Phonics, you can go into youtube : phonics song 2 and phonics song 3.  You might even be able to teach them the actions.

Sausages for lunch.

Who loves sausages - WE DO!
Today we had a sausage sizzle.  Each class lined up to get their sausages - some of us even had two!  We were all so excited and could smell the sausages cooking, in our classroom.  Mr McGimpsey did a great job cooking and none of them were burnt!!

School picnic

What a good day Room 1 had at the school picnic in Khandallah Park. We had fun in the pool and at the playground and had a little walk up Mt Kaukau. There were tired little legs at the end of the day but happy children!

Swimming lessons

We've had swimming lessons twice a week this term. Benoit and his team have helped us practise our floating skills and arm movements. We are so lucky to have the school pool on our doorstep!

Swimming fun

Lucky us, the whole Junior Syndicate joined together today for a fun swim. We had some egg and spoon races and we got to play with a variety of equipment.
